Classic Garden Design - Tatsfield
A more traditional and classic designed garden, segregated into rooms with a central seating area at the heart of the design. Cool dappled shade for a bench is provided by an oak pergola adorned with scented roses, creating a peaceful retreat to unwind in, immersed amongst the depth of luxurious planting.
A diagonal central pathway provides a journey through the plants and links the existing terrace to the central seating area and beyond. The pathway is positioned on the longest axis which dramatically helps lengthen the space visually, especially with the aid of a large ironstone planter used as a focal point to draw the gaze along the framed view.
The warm natural tones of the porcelain paving harmonise beautifully with solid oak elements and compliments the lush planting that encapsulates the whole space. A colour pallet of cool colours has been used to provide a soothing and gentle atmosphere, with tonal greens providing a subtle backdrop of foliage. The stunning white barked Silver birch delivers year-round structure and interest, and contrasting ornamental grasses and textural perennial forms provides a little animation amongst the symmetry and harder lines of the landscaping to provide a full spectrum of interest to satisfy all the senses.
